This installation unfolds around the myth of Penglai—a legendary realm in Chinese folklore often associated with a divine tree. Variations of this myth appear across Chinese and Japanese traditions, and beyond them, trees have long symbolized eternity, regeneration, and connection between worlds in cultures worldwide.

Drawing from these parallels, the work explores magical intersections across belief systems, asking: are the divine trees described in different cultures distinct, or do they stem from a shared origin? This convergence invites reflection on how deeply we might be connected—across time, place, and language.

More personally, I see this work as a self-portrait. Each myth, voice, and fragment reflects part of who I am: not as a singular identity, but as a constellation of gathered pieces that continue to grow and reconfigure.
